Meet Andy Evansen

Andy has been painting for almost 30 years

His paintings have won numerous awards, including the Bronze and High Winds Medals from the American Watercolor Society, and he was their demonstration artist for the 2018 Exhibition.

He has appeared on the cover of the American Artist magazine and has been featured in numerous other publications since

He has become a sought-after workshop instructor who paints and teaches internationally.

He became a signature member of the prestigious Plein Air Painters of America (PAPA) in 2012 and served as their President from 2015-2017.

His love of painting on location also led to him being a featured presenter at the 2014 and 2016 Plein Air Conventions and inclusion in the 2017 Qingdao International Masters Watercolor Plein Air Event.

Full day Studio session with Andy Evansen as he introduces and builds up on his techniques on how to approach watercolor.
Visit to Jal Mahal around 5 pm for a demo by Andy and to enjoy the sunset and sights and sounds of this unique palace at dusk

Full day Plein Air painting at the architechtural marvels of Amber Fort & Nahargarh Fort
Feedback on participant's paintings by Andy at the lovely Nahargarh Fort cafe as we catch the sunset

JOURNEY INTO THE HEART OF JAIPUR
Historic walk in the heart of Jaipur's city center
Plein air painting at special spots only locals will know
Visit Jantar Mantar, City Palace, the bylanes of the famous Bazaars of Jaipur
Eat local food and shop for the amazing range of spices, cloth, gem, handicrafts or paint the vibrant sights

Early Morning Plein Air at a choice of location by our Master Instructor
Show and Tell session in Hotel where participants can interact, ask questions and get feedback on their paintings

Tuition (for workshop attendees only)
40+ hours of tuition over 7 days by Andy Evansen for workshop attendees. There will be a balance of in-door as well as plein-air sessions throughout the tour. Last day will include a Q&A and interactive session.

All meals included, unless not mentioned in Itinerary. The food will be a range of Indian and western food with options for special diets. Tea/ Coffee/Snacks will be available during plein-air & studio sessions. A glass of wine will be served with dinner.
